The train set consisted of a 675 locomotive with smoke, 2466WX Lionel Lines tender with whistle, 2456 Lehigh Valley hopper car, 2411 Lionel Lines flat car with load of logs & 2357 SP caboose. Set also included an oval of track and uncoupling section, but the 1033 transformer shown in the photo was not included in the set. This is the same subject as P2000.1.29

  10. Two Boys with Toy Train Set and Ride-On Car - 1954 photo of 2 boys on Christmas day. One sits in ride-on car and the other sits on floor with toy train set. Train set appears to be a Lionel 2234W O gauge set with a 2350 baggage car which first appeared with this set in the 1954 catalog. This set is shown on pages 28 & 29 of the 1954 catalog. Conflicting with this is the 1947 date penciled on the back of the print, probably added years later from memory. This set sold for $89.50 less transformer in 1954, a relatively expensive set for the day.

Trains are a Marklin refrigerator car (Pabst Blue Ribbon), a KBN locomotive #2220/5 along with a post office car, hopper car and a baggage car. Also a Carette arc lamp #647/48 and a footbridge. Bridge appears to be made from a construction set such as erector. Trains identified by Jim Yocum.
